Built for the argument.

Animon is an anime tracker for people who'd rather rank than rate. There are no decimals. There are no review aggregators. There is a tier list. You decide what goes in it.

It's an iOS app. It launches in TestFlight soon. Here's what it does.

The Vault

Everything you've watched, in one tier list.

Drop any anime into SABCD. Filter by status: watching, completed, on hold, dropped, plan-to-watch, rewatching. Tap any cover to see when you finished it, what episode you're on, your private notes.

Smart sorting that isn't a marketing word. By tier, so the S row is always the first thing you see. By total time, because finding out you put 412 hours into Naruto deserves to be a number you can stare at.

A vault, in summary
S
Vinland Saga ยท Frieren ยท FMA: Brotherhood
A
Cowboy Bebop ยท Mob Psycho ยท Steins;Gate
B
Attack on Titan ยท Bocchi the Rock! ยท Hunter ร— Hunter
C
My Hero Academia ยท Black Clover ยท Bleach
D
Sword Art Online ยท High School DxD ยท (and so on)

The argument

S through D, no fake decimals.

"8.4 out of 10" is a lie you've been participating in. Five buckets is how you actually talk about anime when nobody's grading you. Animon takes that and runs.

Each tier has a name, in case you want to be direct about it.

S Peak anime. The ones you'd rewatch on a flight, with subtitles you've already read twice.
A Really good. You'd recommend without hedging.
B Solid. Glad you watched it. Won't bring it up unprompted.
C Mid. Fine. Forgot half of it. Wouldn't argue if someone called it bad.
D Skip it. Don't get the hype, or there was none to begin with.

Reviews that aren't essays

Three steps. Spoiler-blurred.

Writing reviews on any other tracker is either a one-line "trash" or three thousand words about pacing. Animon's review format makes the middle path actually nice.

  1. One Pick the tier.
  2. Two Three quick reactions. Animation, story, ending. Each picked from a list: peak, fine, rough.
  3. Three Your full take, if you have one. Spoilers blur automatically. Tap to reveal.

Reading reviews on Animon is fast. Writing one takes 30 seconds if you don't feel like writing prose.

Episodes, live

The countdown is in your Dynamic Island.

Mark a show as Watching and every new episode shows up as a Live Activity on the lock screen. A tiny timer that ticks down to the airdrop and turns into a notification when it lands. No reminders to set, no calendars to invite.

This week's schedule is on the Airing page. Once the app's installed, that schedule lives in your home screen widget.

Friends

Curated, not algorithmic.

Follow people whose taste you actually trust. Their tier moves show up in your feed. Their lists are a tap away. A friend ranking something S is recommendation enough. Way better than "top of the week by likes".

No algorithm pushing brain-rot. No "people you might know". No quote-tweet pipeline. Just the friends you added.

Import

Bring your MAL / AniList list. One tap.

If you've been tracking anime somewhere else, you don't have to start over. Import from MAL or AniList in one tap. Your scores translate automatically:

1-2 D
3-4 C
5-6 B
7-8 A
9-10 S

Adjust from there. Most people move five or ten things around in the first sitting. Then they're done. Vault populated, ready to go.

Pricing

Free. Optional PRO.

The whole tracker is free. Build your vault, tier everything, follow friends, write reviews, get live activities. Nothing locked.

Animon PRO is a small monthly thing that turns on the extras: unlimited custom lists, advanced stats, the yearly wrapped, a few cosmetic flexes. If you're not into it, ignore it. The app works the same.

TestFlight is opening soon

Drop your email. We'll send the invite the day it goes live.

No newsletter. No marketing. Just the link.
