Terms of Service
1. Who we are
Animon ("we", "us", "our", the "Service") is operated by Expendid Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]). Our registered office is [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]. You can reach us at hello@getanimon.com.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Animon iOS app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. These Terms together with our Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and us.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Animon. If you are between 13 and 16, you confirm you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
4. Your account
- You're responsible for all activity on your account.
- Keep your sign-in credentials secure; tell us if you suspect misuse.
- One person per account. Don't share accounts.
- You can delete your account from the in-app settings at any time.
5. Content you post
You keep ownership of reviews, lists, ratings and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant Expendid Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute Your Content for the purpose of operating the Service — including showing it to other Animon users and on shareable web previews you opt into.
You promise that Your Content doesn't infringe anyone else's rights and doesn't break the rules in section 6.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Animon to post or share anything that is:
- illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening or discriminatory;
- sexually explicit involving minors, or anything that sexualises minors;
- spam, scams, phishing, or repetitive promotional material;
- scraped or bulk-collected without permission;
- malicious code, or designed to disrupt the Service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Repeated breaches will result in a permanent ban.
7. Third-party data
Animon shows anime and manga metadata sourced from third-party APIs including AniList and MyAnimeList (Jikan). That data belongs to those services and their contributors — we display it under their respective terms. We make no warranty as to its accuracy.
8. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
Animon may offer optional paid subscriptions ("Animon PRO"). Purchases are made through Apple's App Store; billing, renewal and refunds are handled by Apple under their Media Services terms. Cancel at any time from your Apple ID settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
9. Termination
You can stop using Animon at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if we need to protect other users, or if we wind down the Service. We'll give you reasonable notice unless something requires immediate action.
10. Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by English law, Expendid Ltd excludes all implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited under law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, if the change is material, give you notice in-app. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
